Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy and Germany's Uniper company explored cooperation opportunities and joint project implementation in expanding blue hydrogen technologies. The meeting, attended by Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov, focused on gas supply, energy security, energy efficiency, and renewable energy collaboration. Azerbaijan shared plans for establishing green energy zones and targets for COP29. Discussions included green hydrogen production, export, and the importance of exchanging experiences in this field. Blue hydrogen, derived from natural gas with carbon capture and storage, was emphasized as a transitional fuel. Azerbaijan's vast gas reserves position the country as a significant player in the evolving hydrogen market. The meeting also touched on mutual interest topics fostering further cooperation.
