Minister for Petroleum Dr Musadik Malik led a delegation of Pakistani energy companies to the 8th Silk Route Expo in Xian, China, to boost Pakistan's energy sector through collaborations with Chinese counterparts. Key Chinese companies like Shaanxi Energy Bureau and Shanghai Electric were part of roundtable meetings discussing partnership areas such as oil and gas exploration and coal conversion. Dr Malik highlighted Pakistan's abundant coal reserves and commitment to environmental protection, emphasizing the production of fertilizer using coal-based energy. He also mentioned the consideration of producing green and blue hydrogen and ammonia.
