SSE and EET Hydrogen have announced their collaboration to establish a 40MW green hydrogen facility in Ellesmere Port, located on England's west coast. Named Gowy Green Hydrogen after the nearby River Gowy, the plant's primary objective is to provide clean hydrogen to local industries. By doing so, it aims to play a significant role in reducing carbon emissions and fostering job creation within the region. The venture aligns with the United Kingdom's ambitious target of achieving 10GW of low-carbon hydrogen capacity by the year 2030, demonstrating a commitment to advancing sustainable energy practices.
