Insurer Zurich and broker Aon have partnered to launch a clean energy insurance facility that specifically focuses on providing coverage for blue and green hydrogen projects worldwide. Blue hydrogen, derived from natural gas with carbon capture, and green hydrogen, produced through electrolysis powered by renewable energy, are the main targets of this initiative. The facility targets projects with up to $250m capital expenditure and aims to expedite the progress of clean hydrogen ventures.
