UK-based Lloyd’s Register (LR) and Pusan National University (PNU) have entered a partnership to enhance liquefied hydrogen carrier technology and cryogenic engineering. The collaboration aims to accelerate the commercialization of hydrogen carriers while ensuring adherence to top safety and performance standards globally. Through this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), LR and PNU will engage in joint research, technology development, technical knowledge sharing, international academic cooperation, and mutual policy establishment. LR lauded PNU's contribution to the Hydro Ocean K project, emphasizing the university's significance in advancing hydrogen carrier technology.
