Genevos has achieved Approval in Principle from Bureau Veritas for their 250 kW Hydrogen Power Module (HPM-250), designed for zero-emission coastal and offshore vessels in response to the increasing availability of green hydrogen. The HPM-250 is set to secure Type Approval in 2025. The modular and scalable solution ensures high reliability with no vibration, reduced maintenance, and adherence to zero emission regulations. Genevos aims to make clean hydrogen propulsion accessible to the maritime sector through their high-power fuel cell technology. The company's CTO, Phil Sharp, highlighted the significance of achieving Approval in Principle, signaling progress towards deploying energy-intensive hydrogen vessels and reducing the environmental impact of the maritime sector.
