The Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy in Michigan has issued a request for information to gather feedback on the deployment of a hydrogen refueling station in Detroit. This station is a crucial component of the MachH2 Hydrogen Hub project, which has been chosen by the Department of Energy (DOE) through the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs Program. The primary goal of this initiative is to establish a hydrogen refueling station that will ultimately aid in the decarbonization of long-haul trucking along the northern section of the NAFTA corridor, spanning from Chicago to Quebec. Additionally, in the short term, the station will provide fuel for a small fleet of hydrogen fuel cell trucks engaged in local operations in Southwest Detroit. The upcoming webinar will serve as a platform to introduce the MachH2 Hydrogen Hub project, identify key areas where feedback is required, and lay out the project's trajectory for interested stakeholders.
