Norwegian green hydrogen plant developer, Hydrogen Solutions (HYDS), has formed a strategic partnership with UK-based infrastructure solutions firm px Group to advance the use of green hydrogen primarily in the Nordic region. The collaboration aims to accelerate the energy transition by focusing on developing low-carbon, renewable fuels and power. With plans for expansion into Europe and potentially beyond, the partnership signifies a commitment to driving sustainable energy practices. The collaboration involves leveraging the strengths of both companies to enhance the design and operation of hydrogen production plants. This joint effort will streamline plant optimization processes, with several projects already in the feasibility stage. Concrete agreements and announcements are expected soon, with the first investment decisions anticipated in the first half of 2025. px Group's recent acquisition of a majority stake in Lifte H2, a German hydrogen engineering solutions business, further underlines the company's dedication to hydrogen-related ventures. HYDS, on the other hand, is actively progressing with multiple projects, including the Stord Hydrogen and Kaupanes Hydrogen plants in Norway.
