The Cairo Sustainable Energy Week (CSEW) provides a platform for key stakeholders to discuss challenges and solutions for sustainable energy transition, while events like the Union for the Mediterranean Energy and Climate Business Forum and MENA-Europe Future Energy Dialogue aim to foster cooperation and innovation in the energy sector. Investment environments have seen improvements, with private sector involvement and competitive pricing attracting both local and foreign investors. The focus on green hydrogen projects, particularly in Morocco and Egypt, highlights the region's potential to become a key player in the global renewable energy market. Despite challenges such as legislative delays and infrastructure investments, the political will to achieve renewable energy targets remains strong across the Mediterranean region.
