AM Green and DP World have joined forces in a strategic partnership aimed at developing logistics and storage infrastructure in India to facilitate the export of one million tonnes of green ammonia and methanol. This collaboration, outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding, seeks to position India as a key player in the global market for green hydrogen-based molecules. The companies plan to leverage AM Green's Net Zero industrial clusters for exports, establish bunkering infrastructure in Dubai, India, and Southeast Asia, and set up terminal infrastructure in the EU, Far East, and UAE to create a comprehensive supply chain. The Founder of Greenko Group and AM Green, Mahesh Kolli, expressed the commitment to supporting India's green energy export ambitions through the partnership. AM Green is actively working on multiple sustainable projects in India, including the development of a one million-tonne-per-year green ammonia plant in Kakinada, scheduled to commence hydrogen derivative exports to Europe by 2026. By 2030, AM Green aims to scale up its production capacity to five million tonnes per year, with agreements already in place with prominent companies like RWE and BASF for offtake deals. Yuvraj Narayan from DP World Group highlighted the partnership as an opportunity to utilize their expertise in logistics and infrastructure to facilitate the global distribution of clean fuels and chemical products, further supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.
