Austria-based Andritz has secured a contract to provide a 100 MW green hydrogen plant to REPCO in Germany. The joint venture, comprising RWE Generation SE, EnBW Neue Energien GmbH, RheinEnergie AG, and Rostock Port GmbH, aims to enhance green hydrogen production and distribution in Europe. The plant, set to be operational in 2027, is pivotal in forming a hydrogen production network in Germany, supporting the continent's shift towards sustainable energy. REPCO's managing director, Michael Wurzel, commended Andritz for their expertise and collaborative approach. Notably, this is Andritz's second 100 MW green hydrogen plant project in Germany, following a previous order from Salzgitter Group. The initiative signifies a significant stride towards a greener future and emphasizes the importance of industry collaboration in driving renewable energy projects.
