Gentari, through its subsidiary Gentari Renewables India Castor One Private Limited, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with AM Green Ammonia India Private Limited (AMG Ammonia) to provide 650 MW of round-the-clock carbon-free energy for powering AMG Ammonia's green ammonia facilities. This supply will be supported by approximately 2400 MWp of renewable energy capacity and 350 MW / 2100 MWh energy storage, making it Gentari's largest greenfield project globally. The project, located in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, aims to meet the demanding requirements of green ammonia production on an hourly basis, aligning with the Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin framework. AMG Ammonia plans to become a major player in green ammonia production, targeting 5 million tons per year by 2030. This capacity will contribute to India's and Europe's green hydrogen production targets significantly. The partnership between Gentari and AMG Ammonia reflects a shared vision of accelerating renewable energy development in India, expanding green energy capacity, and promoting sustainable growth in the clean energy sector. The collaboration sets a precedent for future carbon-free energy supply contracts and emphasizes the importance of integrating renewable energy solutions with industrial processes to achieve decarbonization goals.
