German Federal Minister of Economics Dr. Robert Habeck and Bavarian Ministry officials have awarded a 72.5 million Euro grant to Hydrogenious LOHC Infra Bavaria for the Green Hydrogen @ Blue Danube project. The project, recognized as an "Important Project of Common European Interest," focuses on constructing an LOHC hub in southern Bavaria by 2028 to supply 1,800 tons of green hydrogen annually to local industrial offtakers and for pipeline injection. Hydrogenious' LOHC technology enables the safe transportation of hydrogen through thermal oil, ensuring efficient and secure delivery of green hydrogen. The project, part of the hydrogen "Hy2Infra" wave, contributes to a sustainable hydrogen supply for Central Europe's industry, supporting the continent's energy transition. German officials highlight the project's significance in promoting climate-neutral and sustainable economies, emphasizing the crucial role of hydrogen infrastructure in decarbonizing industries and enabling climate-neutral growth. The investment aims to accelerate the energy transition and achieve Germany's ambitious decarbonization goals by 2030.
