H2 Mobility has received approval for funding worth €2 million to establish a new hydrogen refueling station in Bavaria, Germany, on the A6 motorway. The station is strategically placed on the Rhine-Danube transport corridor and is intended to serve buses, trucks, light commercial vehicles, waste collectors, and cars with green hydrogen at varying pressures. Dominik Herzog, Deputy Director Sales & Business Development at H2 Mobility, highlighted the station's importance in supplying trucks and buses with green hydrogen, considering the high traffic volume on the route towards the Czech Republic. The project's local partner, the Widmann car dealership group, will facilitate the demand for hydrogen at the location, especially in the commercial vehicle segment. The dealership in Ebermannsdorf is already involved in fleet induction and maintenance of Hyundai fuel cell trucks. Construction for the refueling station is scheduled to commence in the first half of 2026 at the Widmann dealership site. This initiative represents a significant step in expanding hydrogen infrastructure, enhancing green transportation options, and meeting the growing demand for sustainable fuel solutions.
