HFI Energy Systems US Inc has announced an exclusive agreement to develop a 500 MW clean energy park in Whitehall, Montana, in collaboration with Barrick Gold Corporation and Jefferson Local Development Corporation. The project aims to revolutionize clean energy production through the integration of advanced wind turbine technology, green hydrogen electrolysis, hydride storage, and large-scale battery storage. HFI's innovative wind turbines feature a patented bi-cowling design that boosts energy production, reduces visual and noise impact, and enhances bird-friendliness. The energy park plans to produce green hydrogen at a competitive cost of under $2/kg using wastewater, contributing to sustainability by returning pure water to the environment. Additionally, the park will include a 500 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to ensure energy system reliability and support peak shaving. Furthermore, HFI plans to manufacture wind turbines and hydrogen electrolyzers on-site, establishing Whitehall as a hub for clean energy innovation.
