The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, virtually presided over the closing ceremony of the International Minjar Fair in Shimla, where he announced and inaugurated various developmental projects amounting to Rs 120.44 crore. Among these projects was the foundation stone laying of a Pilot Project for a green hydrogen mobility station in Chamba district, with a budget of Rs 14 crore, marking a significant step towards green energy initiatives in the region. The project, to be completed by August 2025 by the National Hydel Power Corporation (NHPC), will include a grid-connected solar power plant producing green hydrogen for a green hydrogen bus. This initiative aims to raise awareness and promote economic development in Himachal Pradesh, with plans to transform the state into a 'Green Energy State' by 2026. The Chief Minister also inaugurated and initiated various other projects including infrastructure developments, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and transportation initiatives, emphasizing the state government's commitment to the overall progress of Chamba district. The green hydrogen project in Chamba is expected to bring revenue, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the economic growth of the region, demonstrating a positive sentiment towards green energy initiatives and developmental projects in Himachal Pradesh.
