Lhyfe, a producer and supplier of green and renewable hydrogen, has successfully delivered 2.6 tonnes of renewable green hydrogen to Storengy in France for the HyPSTER project. This project, supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, focuses on testing hydrogen storage in salt caverns to advance the hydrogen industry in Europe. Green hydrogen is highlighted as a crucial component in the energy mix due to its ability to decarbonize challenging sectors like industry and heavy mobility.
The HyPSTER consortium explores the potential of storing large quantities of green hydrogen in salt caverns to facilitate the integration of renewable energies into the power grid. Lhyfe overcame logistical challenges by designing a specialized system capable of meeting the cavern's minimum pressure requirements and efficiently transporting the hydrogen in large capacity containers. The successful delivery showcases Lhyfe's expertise in managing renewable green hydrogen supply chains.
Matthieu Guesné, the Founder and CEO of Lhyfe, expressed pride in supporting the HyPSTER project and demonstrated the company's commitment to advancing renewable green hydrogen technologies. Lhyfe, with its presence in 12 European countries and a focus on energy transition, continues to contribute to decarbonizing industrial sectors and transportation through its green hydrogen production and supply initiatives.
