Tecnimont Private Limited, a subsidiary of Tecnimont specializing in Integrated E&C Solutions, and NEXTCHEM, known for Sustainable Technology Solutions, have jointly announced the inauguration of India's first green hydrogen production plant in Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh. The plant, developed for GAIL (India) Limited, is a significant milestone in India's journey towards low carbon energy solutions. It is set to produce 4.3 tons per day of green hydrogen through the utilization of 10 megawatt-based electrolysers. The initiative aligns with India's ambitious Hydrogen Mission, aiming to achieve 5 million tons of annual green hydrogen production capacity by 2030. The project positions GAIL as the first company in India to embark on megawatt-scale operations for green hydrogen production, showcasing a commitment to sustainable energy practices.
