The 2nd International Conference on Green Hydrogen is set to take place from 11-13 September in New Delhi, organized by the Government of India. The conference, highlighted at a curtain-raiser ceremony, aims to propel India as a global leader in Green Hydrogen production. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi expressed India's commitment to clean energy and the aspiration to establish the country as a hub for Green Hydrogen and its derivatives. With over 2000 registrations already, the event expects participation from 6000+ experts and 120+ exhibitors. The conference will focus on advancements in Green Hydrogen technology, green financing, upskilling, and start-up initiatives.
The conference follows the success of the inaugural edition in 2023, where India made significant strides in Green Hydrogen capacity and production. The event will feature a Green Hydrogen Hackathon, youth session, and competitions to foster innovation. Noteworthy initiatives include a hackathon with prize money, a scientific poster competition, and a quiz finale on Green Hydrogen. The event aims to engage the youth in renewable energy leadership and educate about the potential of Green Hydrogen.
Additionally, a CEOs' Roundtable will gather industry leaders and investors to discuss challenges and opportunities in the Green Hydrogen sector. The conference signifies India's dedication to a sustainable energy future, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change. The minister emphasized the crucial role of young people in shaping this future and invited global stakeholders to contribute to India's growing Green Hydrogen sector.
