Indian Oil recently presented a hydrogen fuel cell bus to the Indian Army at a ceremony in Delhi, furthering the adoption of green hydrogen technology for heavy-duty e-mobility. This event also included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IndianOil and the Indian Army, highlighting their collaboration in pioneering the deployment of hydrogen fuel cell technology. With the Indian Army at the forefront, this initiative aims to evaluate the technology's potential to enhance future mobility in India. The project will involve assessing the performance of fuel cell electric buses in the challenging climatic conditions of the Delhi NCR region, focusing on the impact of local fuel and air quality on the systems. Additionally, it will evaluate the longevity and operational reliability of hydrogen fuel cell buses for public transit. General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff, praised the collaboration, emphasizing the significance of this partnership in achieving a greener and more sustainable future. S M Vaidya, Chairman of IndianOil, highlighted the project's importance in promoting green mobility and sustainability.
