At the Green Bharat Summit, India's Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, shared insights on the government's focus on sustainable growth and green mobility. Gadkari expressed optimism about the growth of the Indian EV industry, citing the country's potential to become a global leader in the sector. He mentioned the increasing export opportunities for EV manufacturers due to the quality, design, and cost competitiveness of Indian EV products. Additionally, Gadkari addressed concerns about EV infrastructure, reassuring that efforts are being made to establish charging stations across the country and enhance the range of EVs. Infrastructure developments, such as the creation of roadside amenities with charging stations, private investments in charging infrastructure, and the introduction of fast-charging systems, are underway to support the growing EV market. Gadkari also introduced an innovative bus project in Nagpur featuring flash charging technology and luxurious amenities to enhance the public transport experience. Through these initiatives and a strong focus on EV adoption, Gadkari aims to drive India towards a greener and more sustainable future.
