Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, highlighted India's significant progress in the green hydrogen sector, positioning the country ahead of others globally. During a visit to a floating solar plant in the Omkareshwar Dam in Madhya Pradesh, Joshi announced the initiation of the world's largest green ammonia demonstration project. He also mentioned the ongoing work on offshore wind power projects in Gujarat. Joshi stressed the importance of sustainable energy sources like solar and wind power to achieve India's energy targets of 500 gigawatts by 2030 and 1800 gigawatts by 2047.
