Indian Oil Corporation (IoCL) is set to establish the largest green hydrogen plant in the country at its Panipat refinery in Haryana. This move is part of India's transition towards cleaner energy sources. The 10,000-tonne-per-annum plant will focus on producing green hydrogen, a climate-friendly fuel that targets hard-to-abate sectors like refineries and steel plants. IoCL received positive responses with five bids for the project, which is expected to be operational in two years.
