In 2024, India's Ministry of New & Renewable Energy made significant strides in the country's renewable energy sector. The ministry organized key events like RE-INVEST and the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH) to drive innovation and collaboration in renewable energy. Initiatives like the PM Surya Ghar scheme have led to the installation of rooftop solar in 7 lakh households within just 10 months, showcasing significant progress. The National Green Hydrogen Mission, with an outlay of ₹19,744 crore, aims to establish India as a global hub for green hydrogen production and export.
