Lhyfe, a renewable hydrogen production company, has recently inked a five-year deal with H2 Mobility Deutschland, a service station developer in Germany, to supply hydrogen generated from renewable sources at selected service stations. The hydrogen supplied, known as renewable fuel of non-biological origin (RFNBO), will be sourced from Lhyfe's forthcoming production facility located in Schwäbisch Gmünd, which is set to be the largest green hydrogen production plant in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The initial batches of hydrogen will be distributed to four filling stations situated in Mannheim, Heidelberg, Ludwigshafen, and Frankenthal, all developed and managed by H2 Mobility Deutschland in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate.
