Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone for a major green Hydrogen project in Pudimadaka, Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh, on January 8. The project, undertaken by NTPC Green Energy in collaboration with NREDCAP, involves an investment of ₹1.87 lakh crore and aims to establish 10 GW of pumped hydro storage and 25 GW of solar, wind, and hybrid power projects. This initiative aligns with Andhra Pradesh's clean energy policy and is expected to create 1.06 lakh jobs, contributing to economic growth in the state. The facility plans to produce 1,500 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, supporting India's green Hydrogen ambitions. The partnership with international firms like Toyo Engineering Corporation, Getec AS, and Fortescue indicates global support for India's sustainable energy goals.
