The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the Oman-Japan Business Forum in Muscat to enhance partnerships in environmentally friendly technologies. The forum aimed to support economic diversification and the private sector in both countries. Sheikh Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of OCCI, emphasized the importance of trade relations between Oman and Japan, focusing on progress and prosperity. H E Gota Yamamoto, Ambassador of Japan to Oman, praised Oman's investment in vital sectors and climate technologies and expressed optimism for future collaboration. He highlighted Oman's commitment to green hydrogen, ammonia, and renewable energy to align with Japan's zero-emissions strategy. Takashi Omote, Executive Director of Japan Cooperation Centre for the Middle East, discussed opportunities for trade and investment cooperation in the Middle East and North Africa region, particularly in renewable energy and information technology. The forum showcased the potential for collaboration in various sectors to support industrial and economic development.
