Plug Power Inc., a global provider of hydrogen solutions, has entered a landmark purchase agreement with Allied Green Ammonia to provide 3 GW of electrolyser capacity in Australia for a green hydrogen-to-ammonia plant. AGA will power the electrolysers using a 4.5 GW solar plant, producing green hydrogen for green ammonia production. Plug will develop crucial technical details to secure investments and commence manufacturing of electrolysers by 1Q27 upon a positive FID by 2Q25. AGA's massive project aims to produce 2700 tons of green ammonia daily to meet increasing demand in Asia and Europe.
