Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Green Hydrogen Project in Visakhapatnam, a joint venture between NTPC Green Energy Limited and NREDCAP. The project includes a 1 TPD seawater-to-green hydrogen plant in the Parawada area near Visakhapatnam. NTPC is implementing an innovative low-carbon desalination plant powered by waste heat from the thermal power plant flue gas. This technology enables the cost-effective conversion of seawater into high-quality water suitable for hydrogen production. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone at the event scheduled for January 8, which will also see the inauguration of other key development projects. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and various Union and state ministers will be present at the public meeting. The initiative signifies a significant step towards sustainable energy and clean technology in India.
