The event saw the signing of Memorandum of Understanding agreements amounting to over RM6 billion, signaling a significant interest in Sarawak's green hydrogen initiatives. With 611 delegates, 72 speakers, and 96 companies from 19 nations participating, Sarawak's potential as a hub for green hydrogen projects was highlighted. Deputy Minister Hipni emphasized Sarawak's suitability for large-scale green hydrogen ventures due to its renewable energy sources, strategic location, government support, and access to raw materials. Sarawak aims to position itself as a prominent green hydrogen exporter in the region leveraging its competitive advantages. Notably, the state has already made progress in green hydrogen applications like the Autonomous Rapid Transport system.
