Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the SCZone, attended the World Hydrogen Summit 2024 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he highlighted the region's green hydrogen strategy and efforts to facilitate green hydrogen projects and ship bunkering. The summit stressed the importance of cooperation between governments, private sectors, and financial institutions to achieve global green energy objectives. During the event, an MoU was signed with the Rotterdam Foundation to enhance cooperation in transitioning to a green economy and improving port efficiency. Additionally, discussions with Felipe Arbelaez of BP Hydrogen Group explored potential collaborations for green hydrogen projects within the SCZone. The summit provided a platform for high-level discussions on energy transition and emphasized the role of partnerships in driving the shift towards sustainable energy practices.
