A high-level delegation, including the minister of Electricity and Energy and the premiers of Eastern Cape and Northern Cape, is currently in Japan to showcase South Africa's commitment to advancing flagship hydrogen projects. The focus is on projects like Boegoebaai in the Northern Cape and the Coega Green Ammonia Project in Gqeberha. These projects hold the potential to transform South Africa into a world-class hydrogen economy and create over 20,000 jobs. The delegation's visit aims to secure strategic investments, technical partnerships, and co-financing for large-scale hydrogen production and infrastructure development.
