The Telangana Government, led by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, is embarking on an ambitious journey to transform Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) into a leading company by diversifying into new areas such as green energy and exploring other minerals. During a recent event in Hyderabad, Vikramarka announced plans to focus on establishing green energy plants in the empty spaces of Singareni mines, while also introducing initiatives like Young India Integrated Residential Schools and a super speciality hospital for the benefit of the company's workers and employees. The event also saw the distribution of cheques amounting to a total of ₹1,261 crore as bonuses and advances to the workforce, with even contract workers receiving a share from the profits. Vikramarka emphasized the importance of productivity improvement through awareness meetings and highlighted the company's commitment to business expansion and diversification activities, including partnerships with overseas companies. In a bid to ensure a sustainable future, Singareni Collieries Company Ltd is planning to diversify into lithium mining, green hydrogen, pumped hydel generation, as well as thermal and solar power plants. These efforts are in response to the reducing reserves of coal and signify a strategic shift towards renewable energy sources. CMD Mr. Balaram recognized individuals who received the highest bonuses, indicating the company's dedication to rewarding hard work.
