Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu of Telangana unveiled ambitious plans to establish large-scale solar and green hydrogen plants across the state during a visit to the Yamanashi Green Hydrogen Company in Japan, a pioneering Power-to-Gas Company. Impressed by the cutting-edge green hydrogen production technology leveraging solar energy, Bhatti engaged with scientists and executives at the research center to understand the process better. The green hydrogen produced through electrolysis of water using solar power is set to fuel racing cars, power fuel cells in supermarkets, and provide heat in industrial settings. Envisioning Telangana as a key player in green hydrogen production, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the state's favorable conditions for renewable energy production and discussed plans for establishing similar plants locally. Additionally, he explored the potential of supplying green hydrogen to various industries to promote eco-friendly practices. The partnership with Yamanashi extends to implementing BESS units to store excess solar energy efficiently, enhancing the utilization of solar power in Singareni's existing plants and future expansions. The collaboration aims to introduce green hydrogen plants and innovative storage solutions in Telangana, solidifying the state's position as a leader in sustainable energy initiatives.
