Everfuel has delivered hydrogen from its HySynergy 20MW project in Denmark to Crossbridge Energy's Fredericia refinery to support decarbonization efforts. The green hydrogen will be used in refining crude oil into liquid fuels for shipping, transportation, and aviation, as well as providing heat for district heating. The CEOs of both companies have emphasized the importance of legislation recognizing the role of green hydrogen in meeting fuel displacement requirements. While the project faced delays in the past due to quality issues with the electrolyser, Everfuel is now ready to scale up production. HySynergy involves partnerships with district heating operator TVIS and financer Hy24, showcasing a collaborative approach to sustainable hydrogen production. This initiative marks a significant step towards a new era of utilizing green hydrogen for a cleaner energy transition in Denmark and highlights the potential for hydrogen to play a key role in decarbonizing industrial operations.
