Extreme E and ENOWA collaborated to power 80% of the Hydro X Prix in Scotland using hydrogen fuel cells. Ali Russel, Managing Director of Extreme E, highlighted the significance of this energy production, equivalent to powering 1,000 homes in the UK. Extreme E aims to continue its use of green hydrogen in future races, intending to boost energy production. Additionally, Extreme H, an upcoming all-hydrogen off-road racing series starting in 2025, seeks to showcase the viability of hydrogen technology in racing and transportation. During the Scottish race, the hydrogen-powered Pioneer 25 vehicle, designed by Spark Racing Technology with a 400kW Symbio fuel cell, made its debut, emphasizing the advancement of hydrogen-powered vehicles in motorsports.
