Extreme H has unveiled the Pioneer 25, the world's first hydrogen-powered off-road racing car that will form the backbone of the new Extreme H series. The car, revealed in London, features a 75kW hydrogen fuel cell from Symbio, producing 550 horsepower and boasting impressive performance metrics such as 0-100km/h acceleration in 4.5 seconds and the ability to scale gradients of up to 130%. Spark Racing Technology, known for designing the Odyssey 21 car for Extreme E, is behind the Pioneer 25, which offers teams opportunities for customization while maintaining a common package of standardized parts. Extreme H CEO Alejandro Agag emphasized the significance of hydrogen fuel cells in reducing carbon footprint and promoting clean energy solutions, positioning Extreme H as pioneers in sustainable motorsport. The Pioneer 25 is described as a substantial upgrade from the Odyssey 21, focusing on increased speed and intensity in racing. The championship is set to kick off with 10 rounds, starting in Saudi Arabia, traversing Europe, and concluding in the USA.
