First Hydrogen Corp. has achieved a significant milestone as their hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle (FCEV) completed a successful trial with Amazon in London, accumulating 535 km and making 3,462 deliveries. Amazon confirmed the FCEV's strong performance during the 8-10 hour shifts with frequent stops. Telematics data analysis by Amazon's team provided valuable insights into FCEV performance under various conditions, leading to projected range improvements to over 450 km. The trial data also allowed for comparisons between hydrogen-powered fuel cells, battery electric vehicles, and internal combustion engine vehicles. First Hydrogen is now focusing on implementing developments like predictive software, pedal controller tuning, and new operation modes to enhance FCEV efficiency.
