At the Asia Pacific Green Hydrogen Conference & Exhibition 2024 in Malaysia, Hydrexia Borneo Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Hydrexia Holding Limited, a prominent hydrogen solutions provider in China, announced a pivotal agreement with ICE SEDCE Hydrogen Sdn Bhd (ISHSB) of Malaysia. This strategic alliance involves the formation of a joint venture dedicated to developing, operating, and maintaining hydrogen refueling stations (HRS) and storage solutions. The collaboration, marked by a Heads of Agreement (HOA), is aimed at combining the technological and market strengths of both entities to cater to Malaysia’s evolving hydrogen infrastructure needs. Specifically, the joint venture will work on deploying HRS and storage solutions for the Rembus depot of the Automated Rapid Transit System, an essential part of the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS). George Gan, CEO of Hydrexia Southeast Asia, highlighted the significance of the partnership in the Malaysian hydrogen market, stating that by leveraging technology and collaborating with ISHSB, they aim to meet local demand effectively. Abdul Jalil Maraicar, Group Managing Director of ICE Petroleum representing ISHSB, expressed optimism about the joint venture's potential to address the region's HRS and storage needs. The partnership signifies Hydrexia's commitment to expanding its presence in Southeast Asia's growing hydrogen sector, with a focus on delivering innovative hydrogen solutions globally through recent strategic alliances and contracts in 2024.
