Hyundai Motor Group has unveiled its next-generation hybrid powertrain system in Seoul, setting a new standard for power and efficiency in the automotive industry. The innovative system incorporates advanced electrification technologies to enhance performance and fuel efficiency. The new transmission features two integrated motors that can be combined with various engines to optimize performance and fuel efficiency across different vehicle classes. The turbocharged 2.5-litre petrol engine in the hybrid system achieves an impressive 2.9% increase in efficiency, thanks to enhancements in the thermodynamic cycle and fuel injection strategies. Compared to traditional ICE powertrains, the next-gen hybrid system offers a remarkable 45% improvement in fuel efficiency and a 19% increase in power, delivering enhanced refinement. Hyundai Motor Group's focus on drivability and customer experience is evident through the incorporation of sophisticated electrification technologies and advanced motor and battery control in the hybrid system. The introduction of the next-generation 1.6 hybrid powertrain expands the product range, providing customers with a wider choice of hybrid vehicles. With power output ranging from the low-100 PS region to mid-300 PS, the advanced hybrid powertrains will debut in the Hyundai PALISADE 2.5 turbo hybrid, promising customers a leading hybrid driving experience.
