Hyundai, the South Korea-based car manufacturer, recently introduced the Initium, a new hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) in a full-concept form. The company is set to showcase the latest Initium model at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show and Auto Guangzhou in November 2024. The production version of the Initium is also in the works and is expected to hit the global markets in the first half of 2025. The Initium FCEV SUV displays a futuristic design language with distinctive elements like a box-shaped headlight setup and a unique four-box light system integrated into the front grille. Its aerodynamic body style, paired with large hydrogen fuel tanks, enables it to achieve an impressive range of over 650 km between refueling. Under the hood, the Initium concept is powered by a single electric motor producing up to 201 bhp, surpassing the Nexo model. Additionally, the vehicle features vehicle-to-load capability, allowing users to power or charge external devices. This technological advancement positions the Initium as a cutting-edge and sustainable driving option for the future.
