Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is aiming to transform into a $1 trillion company by 2047. The company posted a record net profit and revenue in the 2023-24 fiscal year. IOC plans to invest in both traditional oil refining and clean energy avenues like green hydrogen and EV charging to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2046. It aims to expand oil refining capacity, invest in petrochemical units, and focus on gas, biofuels, and clean mobility. The company will set up green hydrogen plants, battery-swapping networks, and compressed bioGas plants nationwide. Additionally, IOC is focusing on renewable energy integration and forming joint ventures for battery technologies. By 2030, IOC plans to have 31 GW of renewable energy capacity and aims to convert half of its hydrogen consumption to green. With these initiatives, IOC is driving towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly energy future.
