Honda has announced the availability of the 2025 Honda CR-V Fuel Cell, known as the CR-V e:FCEV, for leasing exclusively in California. Priced at $489 per month for a two-year lease with 30,000 miles allowed annually, the vehicle also offers three- and six-year lease options with adjusted costs and mileage limits. The car features a fuel cell under the hood, a 17.7-kWh battery pack, and hydrogen tanks located under the back seats and rear cargo floor. With 174 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque, the CR-V e:FCEV provides a driving range of about 270 miles and 57 MPGe combined. The model also includes standard features like a digital gauge cluster, 9.0-inch infotainment screen, heated front seats, and a 12-speaker Bose stereo system. Despite being a hydrogen-powered vehicle, it can run up to 29 miles on electricity thanks to its battery and charging port. The CR-V e:FCEV is based on the CR-V Touring trim, with production of the fuel cell system in Michigan and final assembly in Ohio. However, the limited hydrogen infrastructure in California restricts the practicality of owning this vehicle to regions with available stations, mainly concentrated in major cities such as Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, and the Bay Area.
