His Majesty King Charles III visited JCB's World Headquarters in Rocester as part of the company's 80th anniversary celebration. During the tour, he was introduced to JCB's vision for the future, involving a transition towards using hydrogen to power their plant and equipment. The King had the opportunity to see one of the inaugural JCB diggers running on hydrogen fuel, witnessing firsthand how the machine can be swiftly refuelled. The visit also featured the presentation of the one millionth JCB backhoe loader digger from the Rocester production line. Along with various guests, including long-serving and retired employees, former JCB Academy students, and Olympic silver medalist Adam Burgess, The King was taken through the Innovation Centre by Chairman Anthony Bamford, who expressed gratitude for the royal visit and the chance to highlight the advancements in hydrogen technology. The event was described as a memorable occasion that underscored JCB's dedication to innovation and sustainability.
