Plug Power Inc. has confirmed the on-time progress of its 15-ton-per-day hydrogen plant in St. Gabriel, Louisiana, operated in a joint venture with Olin Corporation. The facility, driven by Olin's by-product hydrogen, is in its final commissioning phase and set to bolster Plug's North American hydrogen network. With a keen focus on safety, the project has achieved over 412,000 safe working hours and zero recordable injuries, emphasizing stringent safety management standards. The ongoing dry-out process aims to eliminate moisture and impurities, ensuring the production of high-purity hydrogen. Once operational, the plant will add 15 TPD of liquid hydrogen, expanding Plug's total capacity to 39 TPD to meet the increasing demand.
