Riversimple, a Welsh company known for the brilliant Rasa, is now venturing into addressing the weight crisis in cars by introducing a hydrogen-powered supercar. This supercar, weighing just 620kg, aims to redefine sports cars for the 21st century by offering efficiency and performance gains through innovative technology. With features like a lightweight carbon fiber chassis, inboard electric motors, a hydrogen fuel cell, supercapacitors, and 800V architecture, the supercar is expected to provide bountiful speed and a range of 410 miles. Despite its low power output of 29kW, the supercar is projected to have impressive acceleration and dynamics, targeting 0-60mph in 3.5s and 0-100mph in 6.4s. Riversimple plans to involve Coventry University students in designing the body and interior of the supercar, which will have a limited production of 10-20 units at a rare collectible price point.
