China is embarking on a significant computing power expansion, targeting an increase from 230 exaflops to 300 exaflops by the end of the upcoming year. This endeavor demands substantial electrical power, prompting a partnership between Yovole Network and Tesla. Yovole Network, a Shanghai-based cloud computing data center service provider, is employing various energy solutions, including solar, hydrogen, and Tesla Megapacks at their intelligent computing center. The collaboration aims to address the power requirements of the expanding computing power efficiently. While the exact scale of Megapack deployment is undisclosed, Yovole Network previously outlined plans for 8 MWh of energy capacity at one of their projects. Tesla's Megapacks offer energy storage capabilities that can enhance the utilization of renewable energy sources. The company's recent achievements in deploying a record amount of energy storage capacity, along with the establishment of a new Megafactory in Shanghai dedicated to Megapack production, underscore its commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
