Wood, a global consulting and engineering leader, has successfully secured more than €1 billion in funding for clean energy projects in Europe, enabling three significant ventures to progress towards final investment decisions. In Lithuania, Wood played a crucial role in advancing the nation's largest onshore wind farm, set to power over 270,000 households and reduce carbon emissions by 200,000 tonnes annually. Additionally, Wood supported Renewable Power Capital in finalizing financing for a 553 MW onshore wind portfolio in Sweden, contributing to emissions reduction in the country's industrial sector. Furthermore, Wood is actively involved in the Catalina green hydrogen project in Spain, which recently received €230 million in funding from the European Hydrogen Bank. This innovative project combines wind and solar energy to produce green hydrogen, showcasing Wood's dedication to sustainable energy solutions. With a focus on technical and commercial feasibility, Wood continues to lead in advancing Europe's clean energy agenda, playing a pivotal role in the region's transition towards renewable energy sources.
