Accelera, the zero-emissions segment of Cummins Inc., has partnered with GAIL, India's leading natural gas company, to advance green hydrogen initiatives in India. The collaboration builds on their successful project in Vijaipur, where Accelera's 10-megawatt PEM electrolyzer system produces 4.3 tons of green hydrogen daily for GAIL's operations. The partnership aims to explore opportunities in hydrogen production, blending, transportation, and storage leveraging Accelera's expertise and GAIL's natural gas infrastructure. Projects will be evaluated in transport, power, and steel sectors to support India's goal of producing 5 million tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030. Accelera's substantial experience with over 600 electrolyzer units deployed globally positions them well for this collaboration, supporting sustainability and innovation in the energy sector.
