The North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission (North Central) in collaboration with Grow Rural PA, is set to co-host an advanced manufacturing lunch and learn presentation focusing on solar power, mining, and hydrogen production. The event, scheduled for Friday, June 7, will specifically delve into hydrogen production, mineral recovery, and solar power installation on reclaimed mine land for the manufacturing process. Co-hosted by the Ridgway Industrial Development Corporation and the St. Marys Area Economic Development Corporation, the event aims to educate local manufacturers on the significance of these technologies. Grow Rural PA will provide insights into the U.S. Department of Energy’s grant program for capacity building in repurposing energy assets, emphasizing the benefits for the local manufacturing sector.
